About the sharpening

Junlin hand sharpens, hones and polishes each and every teeth up to his personal standard. His attention to detail in hand sharpening is complemented by the increased toughness and edge retention from his carefully orchestrated steel treatment processes

Why is it Matte Black?!

The matte black finish is achieved through Quench Polish Quench (QPQ). Unlike commonly seen coated, chemical treated or electroplated finishes, QPQ is a case hardening method that increases corrosion resistance and surface hardness of the native material, not only it is pretty to look at and hold, it actually serves a purpose!
